Lori Felten Birth Doula
My own journey as a mother of four, with natural births in both military and civilian hospitals, deeply influences my approach in serving mothers in labor. Having experienced the varying dynamics and birth environments, I understand firsthand the importance of feeling supported and affirmed during this pivotal time. As a mom, feeling supported and affirmed during labor is invaluable, as it fosters a sense of safety and confidence, making the birthing experience more empowering and positive. This emotional and physical support is crucial, not just for the mother’s peace of mind, but also for the overall progression of labor. When a mother feels safe and valued, her body is more likely to respond positively, facilitating a smoother and more natural birth process.
And let’s not forget, a good sense of humor can be a fantastic antidote to labor pains! A well-timed joke or a light-hearted moment can do wonders in easing tension and bringing a smile to your face, even in the midst of contractions. Laughter not only boosts your mood but can also help reduce pain perception, making the whole experience a bit more bearable. My goal is to provide this level of unwavering support and affirmation, sprinkled with just the right amount of humor, ensuring that every mother I work with feels confident, cared for, and empowered throughout her birthing journey. After all, they say laughter is the best medicine, and in the labor room, it can be a real game-changer!
